Job Description:

Cancer Treatment Centers of America is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology team in Zion, IL

The Advance Practice Provider (APP) is a highly knowledgeable professional provider, Physician Assistant (PA), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP), who assumes responsibility for providing personalized care to patients. In this role, clinical assessment and interpretative skills, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques are used to deliver quality care to patients. This highly respected role supports patients and works in concert with physicians and care teams to meet the clinical needs of patients. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the position will perform tasks in collaboration with, or as directed by, the patient’s attending physician. The APP performs only those clinical tasks s/he is capable of and within the scope of their accrediting and licensing bodies, as well as the Medical Staff bylaws of CTCA. The APP will comply with all hospital by-laws, rules and regulations and will ensure all entries in the medical record are co-signed by the attending physician. APPs will prescribe medications as clinically indicated and allowed by state/federal licensing.

  • Urology or Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Successful completion of a nationally recognized Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program.
  • Successful completion of national certification as required by professional degree governing body.
  • Current State of licensure
  • DEA without restriction
  • ACLS and BLS required
  • Illinois Controlled Substance license required
  • Maintains required number of CME hours as required by the professional organization
  • Relevant and applicable clinical experience
