The Central Supply Tech position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality/timely manner throughout the hospital. Works independently with limited supervision on processing functions. Collaborates with members of the surgical team to ensure instruments and supplies are available for patient care. Serves as a resource to Central Processing customers.
Key Position Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 3 - 5 years Central Supply or Surgery experience preferred
- CRCST certification
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, oral & written, good interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Good verbal and written communication skills, being concise on the phone and in person
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with little or no supervision.
