Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, Contracts is responsible to coordinate and conduct pre- and post-production audits on payer contract configuration, coordinating the resolution of identified issues, and ensuring compliance with documented contract management policies and procedures.  Major areas of focus include management of all contracts and amendments supporting contract integrity across the CTCA system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the PIC governance process, tracking and documenting fixes, configuration issues, and enhancements related to payer contract uploads and maintenance.  Develop or coordinate configuration changes for required system processing updates.  Serve as liaison between user departments and between CTCA and system vendor for bug fixes, configuration issues, and enhancements.  Collaborates with management team and other designated staff members in developing resolutions to identify issues or deficiencies.  Track and trends audit findings; identifies root cause and communicates findings to appropriate departments.
  • Ensure that proper approvals are obtained for all configuration changes, including business rule definitions. Ensure that proper documentation is maintained regarding the system changes.
  • Perform reviews on pre-executed contracts to provide feedback on potential configuration issues and required clarifications. Support the review and drafting of contractual rate documents within established standards and advises and consults with internal functional departments. Develop and maintain payer contract rate templates and standard contract criteria. 

Skills, Education and Additional Information ?

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Computer Science, or related field.  Preference given to individuals possessing Master’s degree in Business Administration or comparable field of study.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in health care or managed care required, five years or more preferred.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines.
  • Coding knowledge required (HCPCS, CPT, ICD10)
  • Experience with reimbursement methodologies for Medicare and commercial insurance; and regulatory requirements concerning payer contracts.
  • Strong background in auditing techniques and/or within system applications.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently gather, compile and analyze data and prepare narrative and reports.
  • Produce spreadsheets, documents and presentations that are well-documented and easy to follow (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills including the ability to translate information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to follow-through on the execution of tasks and demonstrates an ability to stay the course despite obstacles and challenges.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well in team settings.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to achieve initiative and organizational goals.
