Job Description:

Manage the Social Media function within the Public Affairs Department. Develop and implement a social media campaign and leverage other communication vehicles to support Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Phoenix’s marketing and public relations goals and objectives. Support internal communications and other marketing efforts. Assist with other public affairs and marketing efforts as needed. Collaborate closely with Market Development and Loyalty.

  • Create a comprehensive social media strategy to define programs that use social media public relations and marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership and traffic across all social media vehicles and implement and manage social media programs.
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities. Identify and post unique information to various social media sites on a regular basis locally and on corporate social media accounts.
  • Strategize with and educate the management team and others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services.  Measure the impact of social media on the overall public relations and marketing efforts.
  • Monitor social media sites and create organic interactions with users interacting with social media sites. Manage negative comments; work with the appropriate teams to potentially solve any process or patient/caregiver matters.
  • Attend CTCA related events and corporate social responsibility events to gather photos and content for social media use, including some weekend events. Coordinate with Public Affairs and Internal Communications on media opportunities and content sharing.
  • Work directly with patients, and various Stakeholders to adhere to media clearance process and HIPAA privacy processes.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant social media, and/or communications experience
  • Minimum of a BS/BA in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or experience in related field.
  • Must demonstrate skills in creating a social media campaign and successfully using YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media vehicles, with a proven record of driving visitors and building a fan base to these social media outlets
  • Must have a sound point-of-view and real world experience that illustrates how the candidate measures the business impact of a well-executed social media strategy.
  • Must have a willingness to travel as necessary; travel up to 20% of time
