Manages activities and programs associated with ensuring Southeastern provides a safe environment, which is free of hazards to reduce the risk of human injury to patients, visitors, and employees. Serves as an information resource for projects, data sources, and educational programs. Designs and manages programs aimed at prevention and mitigation of risk and safety events. This position requires handling, analysis and management of confidential and sensitive administrative, personnel and medical staff data. Supports the development of Risk reports, statistics and communications with a focus on promoting a Just Culture of Patient Safety.
Key Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Health related field required
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field or a related area; hospital experience required
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred; Green Belt in Six Sigma preferred
- Experience in FMEA, RCA, Quality process data collection and analysis
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) preferred
