Position Overview

This positon is responsible for the record maintenance of patient charts (paper and electronic) and ensures chart readiness for scheduled clinic appointments.  Receive and process paper forms for timely scanning.  Perform quality analysis on the images to ensure readability, correct indexing, proper orientation and accessibility.  Also, responsible for the professional and efficient managing of visitors, telephone calls, messages and requests. 

Key Position Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • One year inpatient or outpatient health information management or medical assistant experience required.

  • Medical secretarial or technical degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy laws. Operation of scanning, copying, and FAXing equipment; multi-line phone system, and computer software applications.
