Job Description:

Hours: Mon - Tue - Thur - Sat 7:00am - 3:30pm, Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm, rotating holidays, Flexibility a must

Job Summary/Purpose:

The Guest Services Representative plays the central role in enhancing the guest experience at CTCA Chicago and is in charge of creating and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The stakeholder in this position shall deliver the highest level of customer service to all guests of CTCA Chicago and the community. He/She will be asked to greet all visitors warmly with a smile and professionally; assist with their luggage/coat handling; check them in for registration, provide hospital ID badges, escort patients and caregivers, when appropriate, to their destination; answer their questions/inquiries and accommodate special needs while exceeding their expectations and attending to their unexpressed wishes.  He/She will be stationed in the Front Lobby and will move around throughout the hospital.  This individual must possess general knowledge of Zion and the surrounding areas, including Milwaukee and the Chicagoland area.  Upon request, he/she will be asked to provide guests information about weekend activities, local restaurants and "things to do" in the area.  This position shall consistently demonstrate service excellence according to CTCA Standards. Position also includes support to the Sr. Guest Services Representative in ordering supplies, creating documents, flyers etc. Includes special offsite errands and other duties as assigned. He/she will also round through all areas of the hospital throughout the work day keeping stock of flyers. He/she will provide hospital tours when needed. He/She must possess the ability to understand and execute proper security and safety procedures/measures and respond positively and quickly to unexpected situations. He/She will also support other departments with wheelchair escorts. He/She will maintain professional attire both inside the hospital and when doing off-site errands when representing CTCA.  The Guest Services Representative role is a service-oriented role and is expected to cross train for coverage for other guest services related functions.

                                                                                                                    

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School required, some college strongly preferred with major in Hospitality or Hotel Services

  • Minimum 3yrs experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (healthcare or hotel preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized with ability to multitask and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary to succeed in this role

  • Familiarity with local activities and surrounding points of interest

  • Possess the ability to assist individuals who may be unable to assist themselves (wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, luggage etc.)

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and Basic Office Equipment; basic typing/keyboard skills

  • Positive, outgoing personality and very strong Communication Skills

  • Flexibility with schedule
