Job Description:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm

The receptionist is responsible for performing various duties related to the Inpatient Department. Assists the department leader and other unit stakeholders in coordinating departmental functions and various clerical duties including but not limited to: record management, data compilation, compiling various reports and correspondence, answering clinic phone and routine departmental questions, utilize multiple computer applications, and assist patients and caregivers with various non-clinical needs.

  • Greets and checks-in patients upon arrival to the Inpatient Department.
  • Verifies each patient has signed-in and has current Registration and arm band.
  • Prints armbands as required.
  • Assists with obtaining signatures of admission paperwork, including IMM and MOON forms as necessary
  • Maintains composure under stress and heavy work volumes.
  • Ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Orders office supplies.
  • Assists Inpatient stakeholders with coordination of patient care by utilizing appropriate communication modalities
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by Inpatient Department leader or designee.


  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of previous medical reception experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organization skills and effective communication skills (oral and written) are required.
