Job Description:

Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability to:

  • Assess patients to produce quality x-ray images
  • Promote radiation safety for patients and co-workers
  • Demonstrate safe and effective patient care
  • Assemble and maintain Imaging records

Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Communicates patient's needs and response through appropriate verbal and written communications. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices. Demonstrates an adequate knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs. Assists with performing multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate sequence and time frame. Provides quality care to patients during procedures. Takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. Assists with patient and family education. Maintains ARRT certification. CPR certified. Performs additional tasks to include making the call schedule. Preceptor for new stakeholders. Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and all associated records. Sits on Imaging QA committee.

Qualifications:

X-ray Tech experience

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology

Licensed in the State of PA

ARRT certified
