Job Description:
Serves as the official Magnet Program Manager for the hospital as per Magnet ANCC criteria. Manages and promotes the practice of clinically excellent and quality patient outcomes in compliance with all Magnet ® standards. Provides a systemic approach to Magnet® project management and implementation by developing, coordinating, and deploying all phases of the designation process and Magnet Programs in collaboration with Chief Nursing Officer and Nursing Leadership. Assumes primary responsibility for ensuring that the organization milieu reflects the internalization of the following five components of the Magnet Foundation (Transformational Leadership, Structural Empowerment, Exemplary Professional Practice, New Knowledge, and Innovations and Improvements) to promote excellence in patient care services as evidenced by Empirical Outcomes. Identifies, develops, and maintains comprehensive data management systems that support information submission to the Magnet office and enables accurate tracking of key performance indicators. Leads the shared governance/shared decision-making culture, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately.
Assists in the design of processes and programs to support professional development related to education advancement and national certification of all eligible Stakeholders, new grad residency, nursing fellowship programs. Provides administrative oversight of the hospital’s Nursing Clinical Ladder, Ancillary Clinical Ladder and Professional Certification Programs. Supports the development of innovative and professional nursing practice and nursing education and nursing recognition to improve outcomes and enhance the image of nursing and other clinical departments across the organization and in the community.
Serves at site contact and support for Press Ganey Patient Experience and leads innovative process improvement across patient care continuum for all patient care areas under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.

Experience: Five (5) - seven (7) years clinical practice within a Magnet or Pathway designated organization.
Four to five years of progressive leadership experience within a healthcare setting or Magnet designated organization preferred.
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing
Licensure: RN, Illinois
Certification: ANCC-approved certification within 12 months of hire

Pay Range
$85,309.53 - $140,431.20Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual’s status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.
