Job Description:

Medical Staff Services Coordinator

FT; Mon - Fri, 8a - 4:30p

To manage procedures and systems relating to credentialing and to ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and other applicable state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies.  To provide support to medical staff committees, in particular the Medical Executive Committee.  To assist the Chief of Staff and other medical staff members with medical staff issues in a friendly and cooperative manner.

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years experience in credentialing and/or medical staff services
  • Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPCS and/or CPMSM), or equivalent experience and education with the commitment to attain certification within 24 months
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards/requirements related to credentialing
  • Computer proficiency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationship skills
