Job Description:

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Summary:

The Manager of Culinary Services is responsible for the successful operations of the culinary services department including retail dining room, inpatient room dining, infusion dining and catering requests in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and accrediting agency regulations. The manager is responsible for business development planning and the understanding and knowledge of how to sustain profitability in the café while simultaneously providing the highest quality food to the patients, caregivers and stakeholders.

Minimum requirements:

  • AOS in Culinary Arts, CDM, or a minimum of five years supervisory experience in a high-volume hospital and cafeteria setting.

  • Serve Safe Certificate

  • Strong project management, coaching, problem-solving and process improvement skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; strong interpersonal and team-building skills

  • Strong IT skills, especially related to the Point of sales, Patient dining, and medical records.

  • Preferably skilled in a fast-paced, well-respected establishment

  • Direct knowledge of room service and implementation.

  • Experience in building Patient & Caregiver relationships to improve satisfaction.
