Hematologist, Medical Director of Blood & Marrow Transplant Program

Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta is seeking an experienced BC/BE Hematologist specializing in hematopoietic cell transplantation to serve as the Medical Director of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program. CTCA is a single-specialty, tertiary hospital system providing a comprehensive, fully integrative approach to cancer care.

The Medical Director of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program will practice alongside a multidisciplinary team of oncologists and specialists, including Hematopathologists, to deliver patient-focused care. Our hematologic oncologists have the support of advanced practitioners, a social worker, a transplant coordinator, a nurse navigator, and specialized inpatient/outpatient nursing with access to an onsite infusion center, blood bank, and stem cell lab. Responsibilities include coverage of a 4-bed inpatient unit and consultation on admitted hematologic malignancy patients. There are opportunities for clinical trials. The ideal candidate will be a Medical Director or have an academic background.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Specialty training in stem cell transplantation with 2 years of experience
    or 10 years of uninterrupted experience treating autologous and allogeneic transplant patients
  • Experience with stem cell processing, apheresis, treatment of acute leukemia
  • Experience with FACT accreditation
