Job Description:
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Summary:
Assists with the daily operation of HIM responsibilities, main focus on Release of Information, and may grow to include Scanning and Analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree in Health Information Management with successful completion of the Accreditation Exam preferred
Requires 2-3 years of professional experience with medical records and familiarity in working with diverse facets of Health Information Management. Familiar with federal and state laws and regulations concerning medical records, including HIPAA and TJC standards.
Active membership in AHIMA or equivalent with experience in Health Information Management preferred
Ability to work effectively with other departments, administration, physicians and all ancillary staff
Ability to identify various medical record document types and analyze medical reports for accuracy, completeness, legibility, timeliness, authentication, date, time restrictions and content.
Ability to utilize computer systems- MS Office with emphasis on Excel, OnBase, Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) or similar EMR
Pay Range
$16.50 - $23.45Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual’s status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.
