Job Description:

Job Summary/Purpose:

Responsibility for ensuring that Lean Six Sigma is fully integrated into the hospital strategic plan as the primary means for implementing strategies and conducting improvement projects.  Champions a culture of Stakeholder Empowerment through the facilitation of a robust Lean Sigma educational program, assisting department heads in making Lean Sigma strategies actionable within individual departments, and ongoing internal and external communication regarding Lean Sigma projects and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum BS/BA, preferred industrial engineering or healthcare management.

Formal training in the Toyota Production System (TPS), experience in applying the TPS in a healthcare environment preferred.

Six Sigma Black Belt candidate preferred.

Strong communication and teaching skills.

Strong knowledge of lean thinking and six sigma principles and their application.

Ability to facilitate meetings, manage projects and implementation plans.

Ability to select and use high level data analysis tools to identify root causes.
