Job Description:

The Director of Financial Operations is responsible for providing business intelligence and decision support for hospital-wide initiatives and processes that are designed to improve and drive growth in operations.  The position will own all things "operational" finance oriented within CTCA-Atlanta.  Key accountabilities include leading, developing and managing new patient growth analytics, service line growth, advancement of operational efficiencies in partnership with physician leaders and operations directors, workforce planning in partnership with Talent and enhancing reimbursement.

The initiatives supported will generate a substantial impact to the profitability of CTCA-Atlanta.  The ability to highlight opportunity through analysis and then partner with hospital executives, physicians and department leaders to capitalize on opportunities will define the role’s success.

The Director of Financial Operations will work with department leaders, clinical leadership, IT and Finance to conceive, develop, implement and drive continuous improvement in business analytics, delivering timely and accurate information, to support the growth of CTCA-Atlanta.  This includes serving as a key leader and advisor to the VP of Finance, physician leadership and executive team. 

The role will serve as a key senior leader at CTCA-Atlanta.  They will be tasked daily with serving as a business partner of choice to operations to provide value added insights and ensure continuous operational results improvement.

Education/Experience Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or related field
  • Seven to fifteen years' experience in healthcare, business analytics, operations analysis, or accounting/finance is required. 
  • Additionally, "expert" level skills in Microsoft applications including Excel and PowerPoint is required. 
  • Five years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred candidates will also possess a Masters in Healthcare or Business.
