Position Overview

The New Patient Scheduler is responsible for expeditiously scheduling all functions of the new patient visit which includes the physician appointment, care manager appointment, patient travel and hotel arrangements.  The scheduler coordinates with the patient, OIS representatives, and the outpatient clinic to appropriately schedule the patient based on physician availability and patient requests.


Key Position Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred
  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years medical scheduling with medical terminology  
  • Strong background in medical assisting or medical scheduling; MA &/or CNA work experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word & Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal & written

Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail
