Job Description:

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Summary:

Contributes to the hospital delivery of optimum care by responsibly scheduling patient care appointments.  Performs telephone interactions and electronic functions to coordinate scheduling and correct sequencing of patient care.  Works in partnership with patients, nurses and physicians, and patient benefits specialists to maintain accurate schedule/visit information, accurate billing and tracking functions, and support patient satisfaction and preferences.  Coordinates with all departments to ensure all patient schedules are accurate and updated.

Min Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Degree or progress towards degree preferred, Associates degree desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree will be accepted in lieu of 2 years work experience

  •  2-5 years experience in an office setting, hospital or medical office setting preferred

  • Two (2) years medical office experience or previous supervisory experience preferred

  • MA/CNA work experience preferred

  • Strong typing/keyboard knowledge

  • Proficiency in computer applications

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Knowledge of medical information and terminology preferred
