Job Description:

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Buyer is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of goods and services to support patient care and services. Procurement shall conform to enterprise finance and purchasing policies and procedures.  This is a CTCA shared services role; therefore, scope of this role would cross multiple CTCA sites as needed to support enterprise PSM initiatives and or operations.   

 Education/Experience Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of healthcare purchasing experience preferred
  • Two years purchasing experience with Lawson preferred
  • Value Analysis, Category Management and or Strategic sourcing experience is a plus. 
  • Experience with the procurement of specialized goods services (i.e. Surgery, Culinary, etc.) a plus. 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • General knowledge of financial processes, including both payables and receivables
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong verbal and written skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
