Job Description:

  • The Office Coordinator directs the operational flow between new and return patients and the Port Room team, as well as any other departments that check into the Magnolia Waiting Area. 

  • Directs patient care for their lab appointment. 

  • Act as a liaison between the Port Room and the Medical Oncology, and Specialty teams to ensure operational challenges are bypassed.

  • Directs patients to a clinical RN or Sr. PCT to complete their appointment. 

  • Oversees daily staffing scheduling and manages flexing staff off for efficiency.

  • Oversees functionality of team through use of daily spreadsheet of patients.   


  • High School diploma or equivalent; Training as an Office Coordinator within a hospital or equivalent setting preferred

  • Knowledge of computers

  • Knowledge of medical information and terminology

  • Must be proficient in using a personal computer in the workplace; including (but not limited to) email and word processing; and other software as required including, but not limited to, Electronic Medical Records systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams.
