Job Description:

Hours: 8am to 430 pm or 6am to 230pm, Flexibility needed - occasional starts of 5am or 530am to cover when other team members are off.

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of tasks (specimen processing for in-house and reference lab testing, answering telephone calls, reviewing pending logs) to support the laboratory technical and administrative staff. Performs billing and review of records/invoices for billing, where applicable. Performs phlebotomy following standard procedures and delivers samples to lab, where applicable. Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor/Manager and Director.

Minimum requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required

  • Certificate/diploma in Phlebotomy preferred, when applicable

  • 1 year experience working in a laboratory/clinic setting required


  • Professional demeanor, effective collaboration and communication skills ensuring team work with co-workers, nursing staff and physicians

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
