Ensures the safety and security of patients, families, staff and authorized visitors within hospital premises. This includes, but not limited to responding to emergency codes in a timely manner, among other tasks. Able to meet physical requirements and be physically alert to respond to emergencies or other issues on campus, able to perform duties including lifting, running, bending, carrying and climbing steps. Write detailed reports and have some computer experience. A sufficient level of professional communication skills and a solid team player. Able to meet the team’s growing needs through support and backup when needed. Able to be on time, consistently keeps self and uniform in an orderly manner. Understands and promotes the mission, vision and values of the hospital at all times. This is a first shift position and may be asked to cover other shifts periodically.
Key Position Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have armed CLEET license
- Excellent communication skills
- Two years experience in a related field preferred
