Position Overview

The Float Team Registered Nurse is a highly competent registered nurse (RN) trained to function in several clinical specialties. The Float Team RN may have a pre-determined work assignment or may be provided a work assignment at the beginning of the work shift. The Float Team RN is required to be flexible for possible reassignment at any time during a work shift. In general the Float Team RN directs the care of patients through the nursing process and through collaboration with the patient, their family and other health care professionals.

 

Key Position Qualifications

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS
  • 1 – 3 years current hospital nursing experience (med/surg, infusion or clinic related)
  • Chemo certification (or obtain within 4 months of hire)
  • Telemetry – Ability to read and operate cardiac monitor, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms and institute appropriate interventions
  • IV therapy/phlebotomy experience preferred
  • ACLS preferred
  • National certification in medical surgical or oncology nursing preferred
