Position Overview

This is a PRN "as needed" position.  The position consists of a professional care-giver who assumes responsibility and accountability in the administration of ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.  The radiation therapist monitors the patient’s physical condition to determine if any adverse side effects are taking place. The therapist must also be aware of the patient’s emotional well being. Because many patients are under stress and are emotionally fragile, it is important for the therapist to maintain a positive attitude and provide emotional support.  Performs as a team player to ensure patients receive quality and timely service.

Key Position Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy
  • A.R.R.T. registered in Radiation Therapy
  • Licensed in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum one year working experience
  • Knowledge of Varian preferred and Tomotherapy linear accelerator a plus
