This 2nd shift Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician performs a variety of tests in various disciplines of the laboratory with speed and accuracy. Understands the theory behind each of the procedures performed and assists in decision-making and troubleshooting. Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor/Director.
Supports clinical excellence, enterprise wide initiatives, activities of the leadership team, departments, clinics, physicians and administration.
Acts in compliance with departments’ standard operating procedures and enterprise policies/procedures.
Lives the stakeholder bond, embodies the company values and supports the CTCA mission, vision and promise. Hours: 3pm-11:30pm.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience working in the laboratory or 1 year experience as a laboratory intern.
Other attributes: Professional demeanor and extremely flexible to accommodate department needs. Effective collaboration and communication skills ensuring team work with co-workers, nursing staff and physicians. Knowledge of regulatory requirements including CAP, AABB, and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
